Robert, a tax attorney by trade, has extensive experience in the areas of business reorganizations, mergers and acquisitions, entity formations, succession planning for closely-held business entities, federal and state tax controversy matters, advanced tax planning, basic and advanced estate planning, and wealth preservation. Robert also works extensively with tax-exempt nonprofits on a wide range of issues including regulatory and tax compliance, operational planning, and formation.
Before going to law school, Robert served over 8 1/2 years in the US Army working under the Special Operations Command. He later earned his J.D. from Stetson University and his LL.M. in Taxation from New York University. While in law school, he clerked for the Honorable Robert A. Molloy in the Complex Litigation Division of the U.S. Virgin Islands and gained litigation experience working at a national Workers Compensation Defense firm. Robert has working experience with medium-to-large size law firms both in the Northwest and the Northeast and is licensed in both regions.
